Service

A major guiding force behind services is Epsilon Pi Tau’s commitment to maintain supportive contact with members throughout their careers. Epsilon Pi Tau seeks to recognize members’ professional successes and maintains an honors and recognitions program for that purpose.

As an organization devoted to its members’ growth and professional development, Epsilon Pi Tau provides such member services as this website, a
newsmagazine, a scholarly journal, and links with its constituent chapters and professional organizations. By using these and chapter-sponsored services, new members may become exposed to influential distinguished members and to leaders in education, academic institutions, and business organizations. Through the International Office’s efforts and chapter programs, members have opportunities for rich and meaningful leadership and growth experiences.

Beyond these services, chapter programs can also powerfully supplement academic programs.  They create opportunities to recognize and involve local leaders and innovators in technology, create forums for engaging interchange about technological advances and their meaning and possibilities, and create the means by which persons in technology can network for personal learning and career advancement.

The honor society, directly or through its members, supports specialized technical and discipline-based engineering, science, and technology organizations. Epsilon Pi Tau is associated with more than 30 state, national, and international professional science and technology organizations and government agencies, and has co-planned and participated in NATO, UNESCO, and German Republic sponsored conferences
on technology education in Europe, and NASA and NSF supported conferences on similar topics in the United States.

Epsilon Pi Tau members have contributed to the NASA and NSF supported development work in technology education (elementary, middle, and high school), including national standards for technology education, and curriculum and professional development work in advanced technology education (community and technical colleges).
